Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables Wedding: Sarah + Steven

Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables Wedding

Sarah and Steven  |  Church of the Little Flower Ceremony

This Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables wedding experience was a delight to photograph. Great couple, wonderful families and fun guests made for a nonstop whirlwind of love, laughter, tears and a great party! From the minute I walked into the wedding suite at the Hotel Colonnade the air was filled with hairspray, perfume and an energy that could light up New York City on a hot summer night. So inspiration kicked in and together we created my first mannequin challenge!

Now Sarah gets a love letter from Steven and states ” This coming from a guy that never wrote more than three words in a  Hallmark card!” Obviously, the written sentiment came from his heart and touched hers.

Coral Gables Hotel Colonnade Bride getting ready

Sarah felt super comfortable and thrilled to have her girls with her ~ providing a level of joy and calmness that made getting ready such a fun experience. It was so chill that you would never have known that Sarah was about to get married and these girls were about to walk down one of the longest aisles in South Florida.

I love involving my surroundings in the images that I create at weddings. A Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables wedding has so many architectural details to be enjoyed. This just outside, to my right is the very busy Miracle Mile. But you would never know it by her demeanor ~ lovely ~ yes?

Hotel Colonnade Bridal Portrait

So much of my work is driven by the moment and to describe my style it would be very documentary in approach with varying levels of traditional thrown in. These two portraits truly express the beauty of our bride in a traditional sense but portraits that are timeless are well “timeless”!  No doubt I feel very accomplished in both styles.

Miami Bride

The father of the bride getting a first look of the bride is one of my favorite moments on a wedding day and quite often creates quite an emotional response on all parties involved ~ wonderful moments!

Miami Wedding Dad's first look

Now you’re probably wondering where the groom, Steven was all this time? At home getting ready with Mom and Dad!

You know you have a wild party to look forward to when Dad is photobombing portraits!

Church of the Little Flower is a cherished treasure in Coral Gables. Recently it was the only Catholic church with two presidential candidates as parishioners ~ Marco Rubio and Jeb Bush!

Now this moment is priceless in many ways! For one I received the gift of shooting from the POV where the videographer would be standing. There was no V’grapher so I was invited to this special position. It’s good to be Archbishop Wenski’s personal photographer and to always respect the church, it’s rules and the church guy that runs the weddings. Juan~ Thank you! Second gift ~ look at this shot and the moment captured! They had just received communion …I need not write another word!

And along with the moments come the beautiful formal portraits befitting every wedding…

The Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables Wedding Rotunda is unparalleled in it’s unique visual. I love photographing here! The grandeur of the space, the pillars, the ceiling, the oval shape of the room, the ancient marble floor. You even have a second floor to capture moments from!

I love capturing these moments, unscripted ~ they just happen and with a mature and experienced eye, knowing when to be in the right place in anticipation of the possibilities…

My team of photographers are also aware and experienced in the art of the moment as seen here with an amazing capture by Giorgio of our ringbearer and the Bride sharing a moment!

This scene is becoming more familiar with each event I get to photograph ~ selfies are here to stay!

Every wedding feels like time just flies by too fast…they were just having their first dance and now it’s a wrap to another amazing wedding!

I love staying to the end of a wedding ~ you never know what you may get that makes for a perfect last photo in their album!
