Blislainey and Nikolas | Married

Epic Hotel Miami Wedding Photographer

As a Miami wedding photography expert, I embrace the power of social media along with the thousands of Brides out there planning their weddings! What an inspiration to be exposed to an incredible array of inspiring ideas and photographs! Sharing images with newly engaged couples searching for the ideal photographer is a must.

For months, I noticed that Blislainey was keeping an eye on my blog, in the albums that I create on my Facebook page (sometimes the same night as the wedding!), and on my Instagram account. There she was…liking images, along with a comment here and there. I knew that she was looking forward to her own wedding and living in the wedded moment vicariously through the many weddings that I had been sharing on social media. There is something special about engaging with a Bride via social media – especially when she displays a lot of love for the art that I create. In a way, I think that it helps us to get to know each other better.

So you can imagine when Blislainey and Nikolas’ wedding day arrived, I was pretty revved up – feeling the love and the significance of the wedding I was about to experience! The day was fantasic,  so I’m sure that you’ll enjoy what I am about to share with you! First up – a slide show (with music)…

A unique take on the ring shot…

This little guy has known the daughter of the Bride all her life…

We often equate the first look with that of the Groom seeing the Bride for the first time. But don’t forget that the first look when Dad sees his daughter as a Bride for the first time is just as emotional. Her expression and his reaction are priceless! Look at her hands trying to stop the tears…

When I asked Blislainey what the most memorable moment was from the wedding day she said, “I guess if I had to choose its a tie between my first look with Dad (a moment I’ll never forget) and when the confetti went off during our first dance.  Nik had really wanted the confetti blasts and my mom tricked us into thinking we weren’t going to have it. The look on his face when he saw the confetti was priceless.” (You’ll find that shot further down)

Great moments combined with lovely portraits are all part of the wedding story that I successfully document with every wedding I shoot!

I think this little guy would love to be in a playground right now…he did a great job coming down the aisle!

If I could only have the power to read her mind…such a beautiful candid portrait!

The ceremony took place at Gesu Catholic Church in Miami. This church is the oldest Catholic church in Miami. If you have an opportunity go visit this sanctuary, you’ll find that it’s stunning inside. As lovely as this church is, it’s a joy to shoot there. The lighting is exquisite and there are angles for getting great photographs of the many emotion filled moments that take place.

Here’s the moment that the confetti canon went off! And what a moment it was!

I visualize a 2 year old Blislainey dancing with Dad, standing on his toes as he sweeps her off his feet, and years later that moment repeats itself in a very moving Father – Daughter dance.

The fabulous daughter of the Bride, who also happened to be the Flower-Girl, is reacting at the very mention of her name during the Maid of Honor toast. The notes in her hand are her toast to Mom and the Groom! She wrote, “Mom, I am so happy for you. You have met such a good man. You will have a great time with this man!”

Moments are both the obvious action coupled with the reactions! So during the toast I’m not only focused on the one giving the toast but also in the reactions of those special words in the faces of those watching.

The Bridesmaids loved their “getting ready” robes so much that they decided it would be a great accent to La Hora Loca!

This wedding was so “hot” that Burnie, the Miami Heat mascot had to be there! Miami wedding photography at it’s best!

I told you about the amazing ballroom at the Epic Hotel Miami. Well just outside is a balcony that offers the most incredible vista of the Miami skyline!

Here’s a note that Blislainey wanted to share with all of you who are newly engaged.

“I came across Roy’s work while meeting with a potential venue.  His photos were in their “look book” and they really stood out to me. They were effortlessly perfect, if you will. When I left that venue I knew I needed to get in touch with Roy right away and boy am I happy that I did! After my first phone call with him, I knew that he would be the perfect fit. Without giving him one single detail of what I had envisioned for our big day, he painted the most beautiful picture for me. I remember calling my mom to tell her about my conversation with Roy and saying “he just gets it”.  We decided to schedule a meeting with him and we booked him on the spot! I knew that he would deliver the very best- and he did.

Roy is an absolute pleasure to work with.  He is detail oriented, professional, hilarious, and patient- a winning combination on any wedding day!  He reminded us through and through to just relax and enjoy our day. Our wedding photos show just that.  Our photos are stunning and we could not be happier! We know that many years from now we will look at our album and our photos will look timeless and will transport us back to those very real and very precious moments. The thought of that alone warms my heart.

The entire day was the most memorable moment for me. Every single moment was so special.

If you are a bride looking for the finest photographer in Miami to capture your most cherished moments in elegance and style- look no further, Roy is your guy! And to the next lucky couple that gets to work with this seriously amazing photographer- just sit back, relax and enjoy your day to the max.  Roy will be great to capture it all!

I’m never going to be able to pick!!!! SO HAPPY!!!!!!”

Blislainey and Nikolas, thank you for sharing your most important day with me! I loved capturing your day and creating forever moments! Great weddings don’t only rely on the hopes and dreams of the engaged couple and family, but on great vendors that listen and fulfill the wishes of the newlyweds.
